A full comprehensive assessment takes approximately 1-1.5 hours. Our goal in this session is to determine what level of health you are currently at, where your imbalances lie, what your specfic goals are, and what changes you will need to make to achieve them. Always keeping the body mind spirit connection in mind.At the end of the nutritional assessment, you and Vanesssa will determine what your course of action will be.

I attended the info session and as I started to listen to Vanessa, I knew I NEEDED to enroll in the program. Children "I came to Vanessa several months ago when my son, then 4 months old son, had developed an array of symptoms including severe eczema, itchiness and subsequent scratching that resulted in a face full of bloody scratch marks, frequent spitting up, irritability, and disturbed sleep. My Story MY STORY After working in the social service industry for many years having an Honors BA in Sociology, it became apparent that i could no longer go on working in a field I simply wasn't passionate about. I began to pursue my interest in Nutrition and Alternative Medicine in the Natural Nutrition Program at the Canadian School Of Natural Nutrition (www.csnn.ca)and became a Registered Holistic Nutritionist which I feel has been my calling. Let me tell you why... While suffering from Crohn's Disease for over 12 years, and spending 8 exhausting months dealing with a severely "colic" baby I struggled with my frustration with our healthcare system. It was becoming too much to bear. I was getting no anwers, I felt that I had no one to turn to, and I decided to take our health into my own hands. I began to explore natural nutrition practices, holistic natural therapies and supplements, and implement them into our family. The turn around in our health was UNBELIEVABLE! TODAY I AM SYMPTOM FREE! and am proud to raise my children in the same naturally healthy way.I knew i had to find a way to help others achieve the level of health that I have found simply by tapping into nature's resources and supporting its own healing abilities. Products The field of supplementation, vitamins and minerals, herbs and detoxes..etc is a VAST and confusing one for most. I am here to make that process just a little bit easier.What should you buy?How do you know you are purchasing from a reputable company?Where should I shop?FOODFirst of all when it comes to food, not all stores are created equal. You want to look for local organic foods as much as possible, source out what you can from the Farmer's Markets or local farmers in your area, and THEN make your trip to the grocery store. Shopping along the outside aisles will keep what is in your cart "natural" and healthy. Once you are at the grocery store, head for the natural food section and seek out alternatives. I love to shop at the markets and then finish my shopping at Real Canadian Superstore. They have a large selection in the Natural Value Department and you can find almost everything you need to satisfy a health lifestyle change when it comes to food.SUPPLEMENTSWe see things on television, online, and hear about fad parties. Your girlfriend tells you how much weight her friend lost usng the latest shake, and your aunt is pain free because of an ad she has seen on TV. Too good to be true? Perhaps, but maybe not. Quality supplements CAN make all the difference between chronic illness and health, but the trick is to know what your taking and to be sure it is of quality standards. This supplement world can be overwhelming! First of all, shop at your local health food store, with qualified employees who can recomend good product. Don't fall into the trap of cheaper is better. When it comes to supplements, this is FAR from the truth. Cheap, inexpensive supplements sold at your local drug or department store could be full of fillers, dyes, and harmful ingredients that you DON'T want in something you are taking to promote your health and well-being! Good supplement companies don't cut corners! Look for whole food supplements first , and of course, always naturally sourced. If the price on your fish oil looks too good to be true, it likely is!
